Slovenia’s Exciting Schedule Unveiled…

After countless practice games and more double-dribbles than a two-headed kangaroo, FIBA EuroBasket 2025 is finally kicking off! Group play begins on Wednesday, August 27, featuring NBA stars like Giannis Antetokounmpo, Nikola Jokic, and the slimming-down superstar, Luka Doncic. Luka has been training so hard that he’s now lighter than a snowflake on a diet! He’s been dazzling in Slovenia’s practice matches despite the team winning only once against Great Britain, and struggling against teams like Serbia and Latvia. During one heart-stopping moment, a teammate landed on Luka’s knee, leaving Lakers fans panicking more than cats surrounded by cucumbers. Thankfully, he was back to dominating the court in no time.

The FIBA EuroBasket format is basically the basketball version of musical chairs with 24 teams split into four groups. Each will play the others once, and the top four teams advance to single-elimination fun times (or nap times). The exciting knockout rounds start on September 6 and will be held in Latvia. Slovenia’s group will initially play in Poland where fans might scream louder than a rock concert if Luka dunks. Slovenia will tip off against Poland on August 28, followed by matches against France, Belgium, Iceland, and Israel. DAZN and Courtside 1891 will stream Luka’s antics, but be ready to pay or settle for highlight reels featuring Luka’s brilliant moves and possibly some epic leaps over opposing players. Don’t miss it—it’s bound to be more thrilling than juggling basketballs with your eyes closed!
