Doncic’s Championship Dream for the Lakers…
Despite pulling off a roster transformation that made their team look like a high schooler after discovering hair gel, Luka Doncic and the Los Angeles Lakers aren’t being viewed as top dogs in the fierce Western Conference. The Lakers had a productive offseason, adding players like Deandre Ayton, Marcus Smart, and Jake LaRavia without breaking the bank. They won 50 games last season, but then got bounced in the first round quicker than popcorn at a movie theater. Yet, unlike a kid’s belief that sugar makes you fly, Doncic is convinced their revamped lineup is championship-ready, saying, “Our goal is the championship.”

Though they took a first-round tumble against the strong-arm Minnesota Timberwolves, the new signings might just be the glue they need. There’s even a chance the Lakers make a trade any time they like, given they didn’t give away the farm this summer. Doncic, LeBron, and Austin Reaves showed sparkles of brilliance, and with Redick likely having learned a thing or two, the Lakers could dazzle the West. Doncic’s debut in an NBA on Prime commercial shows he’s ready for the Hollywood spotlight, or at least, his close-up!
