Highlights from 2025 Hall of Fame Ceremony…

The Basketball Hall of Fame rolled out the red carpet—or should we say purple and gold carpet—for its 2025 inductees Saturday evening. Lakers icons Dwight Howard and Carmelo Anthony led the charge, both earning first-ballot honors. In a momentous recognition, the 2008 USA Olympic “Redeem Team” also took center stage, reinstating USA’s gold standard like a fridge magnet that refuses to let go. Featuring legends like Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, and Jason Kidd, the Redeem Team put the glory back in glory days by snatching gold at the Beijing Olympics.

The ceremony was filled with tributes, with a special nod to Bryant, the team’s unyielding spirit, who sadly passed in 2020. Kobe was the type of player who could walk on water—if there was ever a game played on it. He was the one they relied on for clutch plays, notably sealing the deal against France in the gold medal clash. Meanwhile, all eyes landed on LeBron James, donned in his iconic orange jacket. Achieving Hall of Fame status while still dribbling in the league is rarer than a unicorn at a petting zoo and highlights his monumental legacy as he enters his 23rd NBA season.
