Lakers Stick with ESPN LA 710 for Radio…

In a move making headlines almost as big as Shaq’s shoe size, the Los Angeles Lakers and ESPN Los Angeles 710 have extended their radio rights agreement. ESPN LA will continue as the official radio home for the Lakers. Since 2009, ESPN LA has been broadcasting Lakers games and will keep airing all preseason, regular season, and postseason games for years to come. “Extending our agreement speaks to ESPN LA’s excellent coverage,” says Tim Harris. Meanwhile, John Ireland and Mychal Thompson remain the merry duo calling the games, with Thompson now in his 22nd year, which is almost as rare as a unicorn dunking a basketball.

Lakers basketball is a core part of Los Angeles culture, like traffic jams and surfing, according to Sam Pines of ESPN LA. The station will continue bringing the excitement and legacy of Lakers games to fans. Fans can also listen via the ESPN LA app. Moreover, the ongoing saga of Austin Reaves’ free agency keeps fans on their toes. Executives expect Reaves, hopefully, will continue to pair up with stars like Luka Doncic in the future and remain loyal to the Lakers. And if you’re not subscribed to our YouTube channel, well, even Spielberg couldn’t create this much drama on the big screen!
