The Lakers opened camp Tuesday without LeBron James on the court, as JJ Redick confirmed the star is dealing with minor nerve irritation in his glute. At age 40 and entering his 23rd season, caution is the clear plan.
Redick admitted preseason minutes are uncertain, but keeping LeBron fresh matters most. After all, if Netflix renews shows after three seasons, then Year 23 deserves nothing less than premium treatment.
