Dalton Knecht’s preseason debut didn’t help his stock — scouts left Palm Desert thinking the Lakers wouldn’t get back even close to their No.17 pick value. After shooting 1-for-12, one exec called him a ‘negative asset.’
At least his second game vs. the Warriors showed signs of life — 12 points, six boards, three assists. Maybe next time, he’ll hit shots faster than LA traffic moves on a Monday.
