Luka Doncic admitted he was stunned when the Dallas Mavericks traded him to the Los Angeles Lakers. The guard, who once hoped to play his whole career in Dallas, said he didn’t know how to react and worried about disappointing both fan bases.
Now settled in Los Angeles, Doncic has embraced the Lakers’ championship-or-bust mentality ahead of the 2025-26 season. And really, going from barbecue brisket to Hollywood smoothies is probably the only trade harder than switching teams.
