Lakers big man turns assists into real-life wins
Deandre Ayton earned the NBA’s Bob Lanier Community Assist Award for November, celebrated by teammates and coach JJ Redick for his global efforts from Jamaica to Los Angeles. Through his Ayton Family Foundation and Ally-Oop program, he’s proving that not all his assists need a stat sheet.
His mom even fed the entire Lakers staff Caribbean dishes—because apparently, the only thing stronger than his rebounds is her curry goat!
