Lakers star Luka Doncic, not to be confused with a basketball-playing wizard, is dazzling fans in FIBA EuroBasket 2025. Despite not having another NBA player magically pulled out of a hat onto Slovenia’s roster, Doncic has led his team to the quarterfinals. They breezed past Italy in the round of 16 with Doncic scoring enough points to make a scoreboard dizzy—42 to be exact. Slovenia’s journey has been astounding, and even LeBron James is cheering so loudly, you’d think he was trying to stop traffic with his voice.
LeBron took to social media to show support for his Lakers buddy after their Italian job. With his own treasure trove of three Olympic gold medals, LeBron sees a lot in Luka’s achievement since Slovenia’s roster isn’t exactly shimmering with NBA stardust. Luka is set to face Germany and its formidable lineup, including Franz Wagner and Dennis Schroder, in the quarterfinals. Rumor has it, Doncic’s offseason body transformation was so impressive that it made LeBron consider hitting the gym five seconds earlier each day.
