Lakers Share Top Spot for TV Games…
The Los Angeles Lakers continue to reign supreme in the NBA universe, much like a basketball-themed sitcom that never gets canceled! Featuring powerhouses Luka Doncic and LeBron James, the Lakers will appear in a whopping 34 national TV games for the 2025-26 season. With the dawn of a new media rights deal, fans can now enjoy games on NBC, Peacock, Amazon Prime, as well as the trusty ESPN and ABC. Alongside teams like the Thunder, Warriors, and Knicks, the Lakers have become more popular than a cat video on the Internet. But unlike those other teams, they’ve got the glitz, the glamor, and far fewer hairball issues.
Leading the charge with their season debut, the Lakers will tip-off against the Warriors on NBC and then tackle the Timberwolves on Amazon Prime. It’s like they’re playing musical chairs with streaming platforms, except the chairs are made of championship rings and internet bandwidth! The distribution of games is akin to the flavor diversity at an ice cream shop: 10 games on Amazon Prime, seven each on ESPN and NBC, six on ABC, and four on Peacock. No matter the channel, there’s Lakers excitement aplenty, serving up basketball goodness every night!
