The draft blessed us with basketball wizards like Luka Doncic, Shai Gilgious-Alexander, Jalen Brunson, and Trae Young. Shockingly, the Suns picked DeAndre Ayton for the number one appetizer, leaving Doncic to be traded for Young faster than you can say “alley-oop”! Fast forward to today, our favorite Los Angeles Lakers prodigy has become the poster child for epic court performances and trash talk championships. Apparently, basketball is Luka’s happy place, transforming this quiet off-court guy into a full-fledged talking machine on the court.
When he squares up against the Phoenix Suns, everyone feels the heat. Though some speculate Doncic has a secret vendetta for being passed up in that draft, he shrugs it off, saying, “Seven years is an eternity; I’m over it.” Or maybe he just says it in between friendly jabs at the Suns’ bench—just the typical Luka alter ego on game nights.
