LeBron James, a basketball superstar with more energy than an espresso shot on legs, is already a Hall of Famer thanks to the epic 2008 Redeem Team. This dream team, featuring legends like Kobe Bryant, Dwyane Wade, and Jason Kidd, swept the Olympics like a giant broom took over the court, claiming gold. Although James waits for his own Hall of Fame moment like a kid waiting for his birthday, he couldn’t resist sharing a celebratory dance (metaphorically, at least) on Instagram about this tremendous honor.
The 2008 Redeem Team had a mission: to polish Team USA’s reputation that had a rough patch with bronze medals and a sixth-place finish—as if they misplaced their compass in the sports world. During LeBron’s Hall of Fame speech, he referred to Kobe as the ‘missing link’, raising everyone’s game to legendary status. Indeed, being part of this team is like being inducted into the ‘savior squad heavenly hall of fame’.
