Camps clash over who the G.O.A.T. is, sparking debates that could fill oceans. Yet, despite their colossal status, these superstars aren’t exactly swapping BBQ recipes or weekend plans. They might not need to be bosom buddies, but fans wonder why there are no selfies of them at picnics or parties.
LeBron recently spilled the beans on The Pat McAfee Show, attributing this lack of camaraderie to him still being in the spotlight. As LeBron put it, “MJ’s probably like, ‘I don’t want to see you dribbling that ball in No. 23, bug off and let me retire in peace!’” Once LeBron hangs up his sneakers, he hopes phone calls won’t feel like bugging the king of the court.
Taking a note from his friendship playbook with Kobe Bryant, LeBron’s hopeful. Much like Kobe and LeBron’s relationship that morphed post-Kobe’s retirement, James fantasizes about planning golf dates with MJ.
