Austin Reaves: Lakers’ Unsung Weather Man…

The Los Angeles Lakers are currently attempting to surf a tsunami-sized wave of problems. On a seemingly cursed road trip, they’ve managed to lose three sequential games, which isn’t exactly anyone’s idea of a good time. Thursday night against the Milwaukee Bucks was just another chapter in the saga of doom, as they started an eight-night endurance test that would make marathoners weep. Unfortunately, LeBron and his sidekicks, Rui and Jaxson, are all benched due to injuries, leaving the Lakers short of their starting big men and hope.

Austin Reaves, the Lakers’ unsung weather man, is trying to keep spirits ‘cloudy with a chance of sunshine.’ Via Spectrum SportsNet, he lamented, “With key guys out, our room for error is like trying to park a Cadillac in a doghouse.” Despite this challenge, Reaves believes in delivering team magic from the bench squad – clearly, he has a ‘passion for fashion’ on the court. As Reaves wisely points out, “It’s just the league being the league. We’re all playing chicken with adversity while running on fumes.” Still, the storm forecasts don’t look promising, with Denver up next.

In brighter news, Reaves barely broke a sweat scoring 28 points against the Bucks. “It was like playing connect-the-dots, except the dots were the basket,” quipped Reaves, finally finding his shooting groove post-injury. If the Lakers dream of getting back into the winner’s circle during these stormy times, they’ll need Captain Reaves and his metaphorical umbrella of skills. Got a YouTube account?
