While Luka Doncic and LeBron James typically grab all the headlines for the Los Angeles Lakers, it’s Austin Reaves who’s sneaking in and stealing the spotlight — kind of like a ninja but with a killer jump shot. Reaves has been turning games on their heads and relieving the superstar pressure on LeBron and Luka. When the Lakers trashed the San Antonio Spurs on Monday, Reaves was the ace in the hole with 30 points, seven rebounds, and six assists. All hail Austin!
Jordan Goodwin, the Lakers’ two-way comedic crusader, has been shouting from the rooftop — or maybe just courtside — about giving Reaves the props he deserves. “I’ve always liked AR; he’s better than some of the league’s top dogs!” Goodwin declared with what we can only hope was dramatic flair.
