The Return of The Bron and Rui Show!…
The Los Angeles Lakers could start their own medical drama with the number of injuries they’ve survived. Lately, though, the band is getting back together just in time for some on-court antics. LeBron James and Rui Hachimura have put down their injury props and joined the Lakers’ sketch with the Chicago Bulls, leaving only Maxi Kleber as the illustrious bench warmer.
JJ Redick, the Lakers’ unofficial team cheerleader, couldn’t be happier. Despite the team’s comedy of errors with LeBron and the crew out for ages, Redick’s eager to see the players rock some continuity moves before the playoffs. “At last, I can stop playing ‘spot the player’ with team sheets,” Redick joked. “Just give us 13 games to rehearse and we’ll put on a playoff show that’ll rival Broadway!”
Have the Lakers mastered the art of entertaining catastrophes? Yes, they’ve nailed it, and it tickles Redick’s funny bone how they’ve managed to turn panic into parades. Just ask Michael Malone from the Nuggets, who reckons Redick’s enthusiasm sprinkled with Lakers magic sauce has kept the ship from sinking faster than a missed three-pointer. Looks like the playoffs are going to be one thrilling episode of Zenith Zappers!
