Knecht’s Performance Under the Spotlight…
Coming into the Summer League, it was expected that Dalton Knecht would be greeted with cheers and confetti cannons like the Lakers’ knight in shining armor. However, his performance had more ups and downs than a yo-yo championship, averaging a meek 11.7 points with a shooting record that begged to be rewritten. While his shooting percentages resembled the success rate of cats landing on their feet, it doesn’t look like evaluators are dialing Code Red just yet.
Despite his struggles, Knecht still boasted formidable stats in his rookie season, lighting up the scoreboard like a Christmas tree in seven games. Let’s face it, his swings in performance might as well have been featured at Cirque du Soleil. With a good preseason, his Summer League stumbles will seem like whispers in the wind, and perhaps he’ll soon remind us all why he’s not just another brick in the wall for the Lakers. Meanwhile, rookie Adou Thiero bounces back into action, ready to join the fray as the Lakers build a roster for the ages.
