Luka Doncic of the Los Angeles Lakers sure knows how to make an entrance in the NBA world. Despite being compared to legends like Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan, he hilariously insists that MJ is as normal as a toaster in a library. While on a Jordan Brand tour in New York, Doncic hit a Yankees game and had his star-struck moment with Aaron Judge. Later, during a commentary gig on the YES Network with Michael Kay and David Cone, Doncic confirmed meeting Jordan, but admitted being so nervous that he might have babbled more than a parrot who drank too much coffee.
The nervousness of meeting idols doesn’t seem to spare even basketball wizards like Doncic. Just like a kid meeting Santa Claus, Luka was awestruck when first meeting Kobe Bryant. But once the chit-chat starts, it feels more like catching up with that goofy uncle everyone has.
